Use Your Own Domain Name

Last Updated: Dec 01, 2015 12:40PM CST

To set up your own personalized web address (your own .com, .de, .mx, .co.uk, etc), you need to follow the next few steps:

Buy a domain name (your-site-name.com) Don't have one? Try Go Daddy, Register.com or Network Solutions.

Once you have your domain, point its DNS A-record to 107.22.169.99. The registrar of your choice has instruction on how to do this. We recommend contacting their support staff in case you have trouble doing this.

Note: You only need to change the domain's A-record. Keep in mind that you don't need to change any nameservers, redirect or forward anything. You may need to wait up to 72 hours for the change to take effect.

Here are the instructions of some registrars on how to do this:

Once your domain is successfully pointed to Sidengo, please go to your Dashboard in Sidengo. Click on the "Custom Domain" button of the site you want to setup.

Now, please enter custom domain (ex. sidengo.com) and click save.

The "Check" button will tell you where the DNS A-record of your custom domain you entered is pointing to. If everything is good, it will tell you the domain is pointing to Sidengo and you should see your website when you visit your domain!
